Home of the Grand Champion Bratwurst
Pear & Blue Cheese Pork Chops

 

  Ingredients:
4 Pork Chops
Vegetable Oil
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
2 Medium Pears
2 tbsp. Butter or Margarine
1 tbsp. Green Peppercorns, Crushed
1/4 cup crumbled Blue Cheese (1 oz.)


  Preparation:
1. Brush chops lightly with oil; season with salt and pepper. In a skillet cook chops for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until juices run clear. Remove chops from skillet; keep warm.
2. Cut pears in half and remove cores; cut pears into thin slices. In skillet used for pork, cook pears in butter for 1 minute, stirring gently to coat. Stir in peppercorns; cook and stir for 2 minutes.
3. Spoon pears over chops; sprinkle with blue cheese.
4. Bake in 375°F oven 17 to 19 minutes or until crescent rolls are deep golden brown.

  Yield: 4 Servings
